General

Private Lessons

1. Voxbox manages lesson bookings for individual freelance teachers. Voxbox acts at all times as agent for your teacher and any action is carried out on behalf of your teacher.
2. Your first lesson is payable in advance at the time of booking. This may be done on the Voxbox website or by cash or cheque at the studio. All other lessons are payable at the start of the lesson. Please arrange with your teacher about payment, as most teachers do not accept card payments on the Voxbox site.
3. Lesson bookings may be cancelled without penalty up to 24 hours before the lesson. Lessons cancelled after this time will be charged at the normal rate. The cancellation fee is payable immediately, but in normal practise may be paid at your next lesson. You may cancel lessons using our online bookings system, by telephone or by email.
4. Not attending a booked lesson without letting us know will amount to late cancellation of that lesson and at your teacher's discretion may result in permanent cancellation of your lesson slot. We will normally try to contact you in these circumstances to clarify the situation.
5. We reserve the right to decline any booking or bookings.
6. If your teacher is unavailable at short notice (for example due to train cancellations) Voxbox will try to arrange a substitute teacher, so that your lesson will go ahead if possible.
7. Payment terms: all fees payable at or before the lesson by means from time to time notified.
8. Copyright in all lesson material and in any material recorded during your lessons is property of Voxbox or licensors. No copyright material owned or licensed by Voxbox shall be removed from Voxbox premises without permission. We are unable to provide you with copies of songs or other copyright work as this is an infringement of copyright. No audio or video material on which you appear will be published without your consent.
9. Please let your teacher know about any condition affecting your voice of any other aspect of your health which may be involved in light physical exercise.
10. You are encouraged to obtain and use a portable recorder to record your lessons. You may not duplicate, share or publish these recordings in any way... they are for your use only.
11. Any lesson booked under a non-refundable, non-changeable pre-paid discount scheme is non-refundable and non-changeable.

Voxbox-branded Studios

1. Studios where lessons take place are run and managed by individual teachers. Voxbox does not control conditions in studios. Some studios are licenced by Voxbox to carry the Voxbox brand, however the owners and operators of each studio are responsible for heath and safety and other such matters on their premises.
2. Lessons are undertaken, and you enter any premises where lessons may take place at your own risk. Voxbox is a recording studio type environment. We try to keep the area as safe as possible, but there are cables and stands and other physical hazards as normally encountered in studios. Please take care.
3. Video and/or audio recordings may be made of you at any time when you are at a Voxbox branded studio.

Voxbox Courses and Events

1. Voxbox courses and events are run and managed directly by Voxbox.
2. No refunds will be made in respect of course or event sessions not attended, as we cannot fill your place once the course or event has commenced.
3. Once made, paid and confirmed, course and workshop bookings may be cancelled in terms of the following: Within 14 to 7 days of start date: Fully refundable. Within 7 to 2 days of start date: 50% refundable. Less than 2 days (48 hours) to start time: No refund.
4. Voxbox may, if there is a waiting list and entirely at its own discretion, waive charges shown in the preceding paragraph subject to a dicretionary administration fee.

Gift Vouchers

1. Gift Vouchers are non-refundable once printed and received by the purchaser.
2. When attending a lesson, a gift-voucher recipient must bring their voucher.
3. Once the recipient has chosen a teacher, said teacher will receive the voucher payment and Voxbox will have discharged its obligations with regard to said Voucher. All further dealings will be between the student and teacher.

Privacy

1. We never lend, rent or sell your data or contact information to any third party. We do not store any payment card data. Your contact information is stored in your login-protected account.

Refunds

1. Lesson or course fees paid in advance are refundable only with reference to our cancelation policy. Please see details above.
2. Application for part refund of a discount lesson package will mean that the lessons taken will be charged at full rate when the refund is calculated.
3. No refund for course or workshop sessions not attended, except where a session is cancelled by Voxbox.
