Studio News Studio News Happy Oh Ten from Voxbox! 2010 is going to be a mighty year for Voxbox. With a new studio manager on board, more workshops introduced to inspire you and a brand new rehearsal space for singers, it's all happening at the Camden singing school. New Singing Practise Room We welcome singers to come and rehearse in our newly available rehearsal haven. With full facilities, our singing home is the perfect environment in which to hone your craft and feel at home in the process. Our parties give you a great opportunity to improve your performance skills in front of a live audience with full lights and sound. Your chance to perform for friends and family in a great atmosphere in front of a supportive crowd. We hold our Performance parties 2 or 3 times every year. Open to current private lesson and course students. | ||
About our Performance PartiesThe Elixir Bar (previously Rowleys pub) next door, gives us exclusive use of the venue. It holds about 180 people, enough for performers, their mates and/or family, and a few non-performers who are perhaps contemplating it for next time. There is no charge to performers... tickets for friends and family are £5.00 In the past these parties have had a brilliant atmosphere, with the audience being fantastically supportive. It is a great way to get a bit of experience up on stage in front of an audience. If you haven't yet discovered the buzz of performing, here's a chance. If you have, then this is a place to try something new - push the envelope a bit in front of the most friendly & supportive audience you will ever find ... all fellow singers & friends. The entry form is below.We don't limit the number of entries, although there are only 24 performers, so not everyone gets on the list. Together, the teachers choose a line-up with reference to entertainment value and to educational / development value to the student. The RehearsalRehearsal is the Sunday before. You can't perform without attending this rehearsal. | ||
On the nightBe at Voxbox at 7pm if you want to warm-up - strongly advised! There may be a harmony or chorus piece to work on... these are always brilliant fun so worth participating in.
